About the Project
Sustainable water access through borehole rehabilitation
Our Mission
Pacific Limited exists to restore access to clean water across Malawi through sustainable borehole rehabilitation. We believe that fixing what's broken is not just practical—it's transformational.
Why Rehabilitation?
Building new boreholes is expensive and time-consuming. But across Malawi, thousands of boreholes sit broken—representing investments already made, infrastructure already in place, and communities already familiar with their use.
Our approach is simple:
- ✓ Cost-Effective: Rehabilitation costs a fraction of new construction
- ✓ Faster Impact: Communities get water back in weeks, not years
- ✓ Sustainable: We're maximizing existing infrastructure
- ✓ Inclusive: We fix any broken borehole, regardless of the original installer
Our Values
- Dignity: Every community deserves access to clean water
- Transparency: We work openly with communities and partners
- Sustainability: Solutions that last and benefit our environment
- Inclusivity: We serve all communities, regardless of politics or history
How We're Funded
This project is made possible through carbon finance. Clean water access reduces the need for firewood to boil water, decreasing deforestation and carbon emissions.

Carbon Credits
Credits fund more rehabilitations
Pacific Limited owns and manages the carbon credits generated, which can be traded or transferred to sustain and expand our work across all 193 constituencies in Malawi.
Our Reach
We operate in all constituencies across Malawi, partnering with Members of Parliament to identify broken boreholes and prioritize rehabilitation based on community need and technical assessment.
By working closely with MPs, we ensure that we reach the communities most in need and that our work is coordinated with local leadership and priorities.
